The erudite leader Imam W. Deen Mohammed has led his community through the door of Al-slam. At time when true Al-slam was a whisper in America. He is credited with uplifting the community of Muslim African Americans; resulting in free independent thinkers. His knowledge transcends decades of what we were previous taught and those who followed him are spirituality competent of understanding his vision and values.

Confronting Violence In The Neighborhoods

Violence has gripped most of Chicago's 77 existing area communities. Leadership and community residents are looking for solutions and ways to stop the violence. What are certain, community and police are disconnected and there is plenty blame to pass around. Leadership generally has not risen to the challenge. Poverty, Jobs, Education, Training and life skills need to be placed on the front burner, if you want to make solutions.
